SyncML PRO 4 is a specialized tool designed exclusively for synchronization of contacts and calendars with a server or service that utilizes the SyncML standard. It does not support any other synchronization technologies.

Please acquire this application only if you are certain that SyncML-based synchronization is the appropriate solution for your needs. This is typically the case when your organization's IT department explicitly recommends or requires SyncML PRO for synchronizing calendars and contacts. Additionally, you should be prepared to provide the URL of your SyncML server, your login credentials, and specific server paths for contacts and calendar synchronization. These details are usually provided by your SyncML service provider, as the app developers cannot supply or configure these connection specifics.

It is important to recognize that SyncML is now a legacy standard. Developed in 2000, it was widely supported by feature phones of that era. However, since then, it has largely been replaced by more modern protocols such as CalDAV and CardDAV, which are natively supported by iOS without additional applications. Nonetheless, for some older calendaring systems, SyncML remains the only viable synchronization method, which justifies the existence of SyncML PRO 4.

SyncML PRO 4 is a reimplementation of the original SyncML PRO app, adapted to function on iOS 10 and later. The initial version supported up to iOS 9. It should be noted that SyncML PRO 4 does not introduce new features beyond those of its predecessor—apart from an improved contacts view with simplified group assignment functionality. Its primary purpose is to maintain compatibility with newer iOS versions while preserving the core functionality.
